Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Job Description
• Conduct field surveys of existing mechanical, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
• Design HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for commercial, industrial, and healthcare facilities.
• Prepare construction documents including drawings, specifications, calculations, and details.
• Approve mechanical submittals and aid in RFI responses during construction administration.
• Assume the Lead HVAC designer's role on assigned projects; may serve as Project Engineer on smaller, less complex projects.
• Use engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD).
Hard Skills
Minimum 6 years of experience within MEP Design (Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical)
Engineering degree or EIT
Mechanical/HVAC Knowledge
Knowledge of New York State Building Codes
Work Environment
Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 at home. 75% in office, 25% job site/field visits.
