A DAY IN THE LIFE

Help desk technician

is the first point of contact for IT support related requests. The help desk technician works to ensure help desk functions and backend systems are handled in a complete, accurate and timely manner with a centralized point of communications for end user support. This position may also perform a mixture of executive level end-user computer support, application software support for both on prem and remote end user's support.

This role is work onsite in Tucson, AZ.

Duties & Responsibilities

Monitors the Support Queue, create service/troubleshoots tickets and validates level of priority for each ticket request.

Document all work performed along with resolution in the support queue ticketing system.

Ability to image Windows/IOS systems, knowledge of MDT/Time Machine imaging tooling.

Maintain the IT Tip of the week/month communication outreach.

Ensure the IT Systems status page is up to date and current with the latest status.

Diagnose, perform root cause analysis, and resolve technical hardware and software issues.

Research issues and questions using available internal and external information resources.

Demonstrate knowledge of Windows desktop systems/software

Demonstrate knowledge of setting up and supporting remote users (access and support)

Ability to demonstrate basic understanding of cloud and on-prem virtualization solutions.

Maintain records related to assigned activities.

Demonstrated ability to support networked printers, multimedia devices and tablets.

Demonstrated working knowledge of server and desktop technologies.

2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Windows and iOS operating systems.

Perform Active Directory tasks.

Physical Requirements: exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10-15 pounds of force frequently. Ability to lift 20 pounds.

Understanding of basic mail flow and spam filtering

Strong ability to resolve both technical and non-technical problems in a remote setting.

Ability to independently manage/maintain IT software platforms.

Knowledge of TCP/IP networking.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

2+ years of customer support/service and advanced technical troubleshooting experience

Requires 2 to 5 years of experience in a desktop support role in a small to medium-sized company.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, Azure Backup Software, Cisco Hardware, Ring Central, Twilio Telephony systems.

2+ Years of experience in utilization of software platforms such as Windows 11, Windows Server 2019, 2022 Microsoft Office Suites, Apple OS

Demonstrated the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve routine operation problems, configure, install, upgrade computer hardware including Windows Laptops, macOS Laptops.

High level of interest in and aptitude for understanding technology and operations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Time Management Skills, able to manage multiple, competing priorities and demands., ability to set goals, establish and use schedules, anticipate obstacles, and mitigate impact.

Team player, cooperative working relationships with all others including staff, team members, vendors, and consultants.

Education

Possess an AA or bachelor's degree in CS/MIS/Business Admin and/or supplemented with courses in current IT Desktop technology or equivalent experience
