Key responsibilities and accountabilities:1.
Investigate factory quality problems, customer and consumer complaints using a broad range of skills and techniques such asCan performance testingSeam evaluationsCoating performance testsMicroscopy and metallographyPlant trialsBev/Food processing simulationProvide reports with clear conclusions and recommendations2.
Manage and record work requests using appropriate IT systemsPrioritise work to ensure business needs are met and time is used effectivelyWork within the Technical Support Team to ensure all requests are dealt with and resources are allocated efficientlyLiaise with other teams, departments and/or external resources to ensure the root cause of a problem can be establishedMaintain proactive communication with stakeholdersRegularly review work for value added opportunities and update value added reportMonthly reports3.
Contribute to the wider activities of Materials and Crown TechnologyProactive approach to environment, health and safety and energy saving initiativesInvolvement in development and innovation teams as requiredFull participation in workshops
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSProfessional and academic qualifications:Degree in science or engineering subjectOrSeveral years relevant experience in a similar technical support rolePrevious experienceDemonstrated ability to work in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
