Our work impacts lives long after the building is done, and we are committed to building in ways that are technologically advanced, sustainable, scalable, and equitable.About the PositionAs a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will assist the preconstruction and project management teams with preconstruction services, including preparation of estimates, proposal and bid reviews, document reviews, cost value analysis, and bid processes. Our Senior Estimators play a key role in collaborating with job-specific teams, participating in business development and client management, and providing training and mentoring to junior estimators.Responsibilities:Plans and coordinates the activities of each assigned project for quality and accuracy of work, including performing estimates and scheduling tasks.Secures and reviews quotes from subcontractors and plans all project take-offs to optimize efficiency of labor.Works with the project manager and chief estimator to determine general expenses, labor rates, and other costs associated with each project.Utilizes estimating software to properly estimate projects and ensures all estimates and RFPs meet customer and company satisfaction.Surveys job sites as needed for scope of work and to determine the most cost-effective plans possible.Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with clients, subcontractors, and co-workers.Coaches and mentors other estimators and co-workers on large projects.Minimum Qualifications:Associate degree or equivalent work experience in construction management or a related field.Minimum 5-8 years of electrical construction experience in estimating and design/build estimating.Experience using Accubid or similar estimating software.Skills to read, interpret and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including high-quality documentation and report preparation.Strong leadership, problem-solving, detail orientation, time management, and customer service skills.In-depth skills and experience in project management.Travel:
