Pay : $26-28 per hour

Position Overview:

The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) is responsible for providing support, advocacy, and case management services to residents in our client's buildings in the Mission District & South Park neighborhoods of San Francisco. This role involves offering safe, timely, and client-centered care, coordinating community programs and events, ensuring housing stability, and fostering community engagement. The RSC will work closely with residents, property management, and local service providers to promote resident well-being, housing retention, and community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide Resident Support and Case Management:

Offer client-centered care to residents, focusing on safety and timeliness.

Manage case assignments, conduct intakes and assessments, and handle case closures.

Develop individualized service plans, track residents’ progress, and make adjustments as needed.

Connect residents with essential resources such as healthcare services, job training programs, social benefits, and other supportive services.

2. Coordinate Services and Programs:

Organize educational workshops, community events, and life skills training sessions tailored to resident needs.

Recruit and manage volunteers to support programs and services.

Work with residents to develop leadership roles and foster a sense of community involvement.

Schedule and oversee the use of community spaces for resident activities and events.

Support fundraising efforts to enhance community programs and services.

3. Ensure Housing Stability and Advocacy:

Assist residents with housing retention by addressing lease violations and coordinating with property management.

Conduct wellness checks and provide support to resolve conflicts between residents.

Offer guidance on housing-related issues, such as lease agreements and rental obligations.

Provide advocacy for residents to access benefits and other supportive services related to housing stability.

4. Facilitate Community Engagement and Resource Access:

Maintain relationships with government agencies, community service providers, and other organizations to expand resource access for residents.

Inform residents of available community resources, such as public benefits, rental assistance, and social services.

Organize community displays, distribute informational materials, and conduct outreach activities to keep residents informed.

5. Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and confidential records of resident interactions, case notes, and progress.

Complete required reports, grant documentation, and other administrative tasks in a timely manner.

Create outreach materials to promote services, programs, and events within the community.

Ensure compliance with professional standards, program regulations, and grant requirements.

Continuously evaluate and adjust services based on resident feedback and evolving needs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in sociology, human services, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience in case management, community services, or a related role, preferably in an affordable housing or social services setting.

Strong understanding of community resources, public benefits, and housing stability services.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse populations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with case management software is preferred.

Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) or (Cantonese/ English) are highly desirable.
