The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.Key job responsibilities

SDE II's own new feature development. We trust them to own system components from design through to implementation, deployment, and operations.You'll build and improve systems that help our customers (coworkers at Amazon) do the right thing for their customers faster and safer. You'll work consult with senior and principal engineers in the organization to ensure your designs will meet customers' needs.You'll perform at least one week of oncall duty per quarter, being the first line of defense against system problems, and escalating to peers and leaders as appropriate.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceBachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)Experience programming with at least one software programming language2+ years of experience working with Linux/Unix systemsCurrent, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentExperience building production-level services with AWS infrastructureAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
