Lead Epic AnalystThe Lead Epic Analyst will assign and prioritize work within the Epic Analyst team to meet the needs of the supported operation's end-users and assigned Epic applications. As a senior resource with specialized knowledge of the team's core applications, you will guide analysts through the design, build/configuration, testing, and implementation of the team's core Epic applications and their integration with other supported systems/applications. As the Lead, you will mentor team members in their approach to identifying and defining solutions. Assist with training of staff and serve as a specialist on the team's core Epic applications.The Lead Epic Analyst will:Collaborate with the manager on the daily workload (tickets and project work) and priorities, current assignments of team members and required adjustments (of staff and assignments) to meet business needs.Guide analysts through the design, build/configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the team's core Epic applications and their integration with other supported systems/applications. Serve as an escalation point for the most complex issues.Apply deep domain knowledge, a consultative approach with internal clients, and experience with Epic across related applications to understand how best to address the business needs.Perform advanced configuration (or customization, as necessary) to address business needs.Modify builds incorporating significant edits, moderately complex logic, creation of new templates based on existing standards.Manage implementation of core application changes with 3rd party, Epic-eligible vendors to ensure integration. Maintain, upgrade, and test all third-party integrations.Coordinate the team's efforts in support of upgrades. Work with the manager to establish timelines and assign release notes. Communicate major milestones to the team and customers and manage to meet these.Facilitate team meetings to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-users concerns, and upcoming milestones.Develop or provide substantive input to training curriculum for online learning or in-person instruction.Assist the manager with developing and implementing processes and/or procedural improvements or changes.Present at national forums (i.e., Epic XGM - Expert Group Meeting, Epic UGM Support - User Group Meeting).Attend Epic-related conferences and trainings at Epic for additional certifications or internal BCH offerings.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree is required; An Associate’s Degree with an additional 2 years of related experience or a high school diploma/GED with an additional 4 years of related experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s Degree.4 years of experience directly involved in Epic application support performing builds, which includes responsibility for complex builds and integrations required; 8 years of experience directly involved in Epic application support performing builds in the targeted applications.Epic certification in two CORE applications, as applicable, specific to the role/department Epic specialty certifications, as applicable.Boston Children’s Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits including flexible schedules, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, child care and student loan subsidies, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition and certain License and Certification Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes.
