Realizing this future requires a reliable and robust wireless communication network that spans multiple use cases and capabilities. We’re looking for you, an experienced Wireless Software Engineering Manager to join our team and tackle these challenges head on.How you’ll make an impact:You will manage a team of talented engineers working on multiple wireless solutions across the stack from cloud to MAC and PHY firmware layers.You will enhance and improve Skydio’s various wireless solutions, extending the range and providing high-speed and secure communication.You will oversee the development and realization of real world innovations in WiFi and Cellular technologies and tailor them to specific drone communication use cases.You will work to optimize command and control latency, video streams fusion, and end to end network management for various use cases and customer needs.What makes you a good fit:Experience with WLAN software engineering with broad knowledge across the stack.Extensive hands on experience in one or more core technologies most specifically in WiFi 802.11 and Cellular 4G-LTE/5GNR.Deep system level understanding of wireless communications and its fundamentals.Strong familiarity with software test coverage and automation.Strong management and leadership skills including the ability to plan, execute and deliver a very high quality product with a high performing team.Can work in a collaborative cross-functional environment alongside Systems, Software Embedded, and Hardware Engineers.Strong debugging skills in a variety of environments.Compensation Range:The annual base salary range for this position is $245,000 - $300,000* (dependent on final leveling). Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
