We are currently seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join the Gilbert CPA team. This individual should be a CPA, with at least 7 years of experience in public accounting, specifically taxation. We are seeking an individual with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project-management skills.

Responsibilities:

Senior managers perform all manager responsibilities, plus additional responsibilities as listed below.

Close interaction with partners.Responsible for all phases of tax preparation, tax planning, tax research, tax audit representation, audit, compilation, review, or accounting services engagement.Serves as a primary contact to clients and effectively plans, organizes, and independently conducts activities, including work through client presentation.Demonstrates a high degree of loyalty and commitment to the Firm.Oversees multiple engagements and takes responsibility for resolving issues that arise during engagements.Assists partners in maintaining and monitoring high-quality control standards.Drafts and assists in the presentation of proposals for engagements and development of new clients.Continues to demonstrate a high level of technical expertise and develops reputation in a given industry/service line.Supervises and reviews staff, seniors, and managers.Develops and motivates staff and provides them with counseling and career guidance.Responsible for billing clients.Actively participates in Firm industry teams and assists in the development of the Strategic Plan.Develops and maintains client relationships.Participates in firm recruiting efforts.Maintains knowledge of general economic and political trends of possible tax or other legislation that could affect the business climate.Qualifications:

A current and valid certified public accountant license is required; must be a member in good standing with the American Institute of CPA'sPrefer at least seven (7) years of experience in public accounting, demonstrating a progression in complexity, scope, and number of tax or audit engagements managed.Demonstrated ability to bring in new business to a CPA firm.Bachelor's degree (B.A.)Supervisory experience requiredAbility to develop and maintain strong client relationshipsProvides superior customer serviceMust have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, as well as project management and analytical skillsCustomarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment

This role is based out of our Natomas, Sacramento area office. A hybrid work schedule is offered after the training period.
