Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled IT Developer to join our electrical/construction company and support our digital transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and a keen understanding of the unique technological needs of the electrical/construction industry. They will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions that streamline operations, improve communication, and increase efficiency across all departments. The salary range is $100,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
This is a non-remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Development:
Design, develop, and maintain custom software applications tailored to the needs of the construction industry, including project management tools, resource planning, and field operations solutions.System Integration:
Collaborate with various departments to integrate software applications and ensure seamless data flow between different systems, including ERP, CRM, and project management software.Database Management:
Design and maintain databases that support construction project data, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.Technical Support:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software applications, working closely with the IT support team to resolve issues quickly.User Training:
Develop and deliver training programs for end-users, ensuring they are fully capable of utilizing new software tools effectively.Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve existing software solutions and business processes, proposing and implementing enhancements to drive efficiency and reduce costs.Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all software solutions, including codebase, user manuals, and technical specifications.Compliance & Security:
Ensure all software applications comply with industry standards and best practices, particularly in areas of data security and privacy.Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on the construction industry preferred.Technical Skills:Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.Experience with database technologies such as SQL, Microsoft Bi.Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit).Knowledge of ERP systems and CRM systems (e.g., Trimble Spectrum).Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Trimble) is a plus.Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software and standards.Understanding of construction industry workflows and challenges.Benefits:
