The National Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic customer accounts at a national level, maximizing all opportunities for sales within the assigned accounts.

Responsibilities:

Managing large company accounts for the company and building relationships with key personnel.Ensuring internal company functions give the highest level of customer service to national accounts.Monitoring incoming orders and ensuring these are fulfilled effectively.Identifying and pursuing large sales/development opportunities.Investigating and resolving queries and issues raised by national accounts.Taking a proactive approach to account management.Holding business reviews to assess opportunities for sales.Manage the execution of account business plans and is the primary owner of the account management process. Serve as a business advisor to customers.Leads, participates, and implements key business processes to sustain strategic direction and programsProvides advice and council on operational matters of the businessManagement and support of maritime activities for USG assetsManagement of quarry sales activities from order to cash.Understand the specific gypsum category, its cost structure and supplier landscape, at both a regional and global scale.Key Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's degree in business or related field highly preferred. Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.Travel Requirements

Valid passportTravel time up to and over 25% servicing respective customersExperience

Minimum of 5 years of sales experience preferredMinimum of 5 years of supply chain and operational experience preferredExperience with bulk ocean freight a plusRequired Skills

Strong business acumen and professionalism.Strong communication/interpersonal skills, including: negotiating, presentation, professional selling, strong listening skills, conflict resolution and relationship building.Client and customer focused approach and style.Effective and independent time and scheduling management of activities.Ability to set and self-manage priorities to ensure maximizing of account development maximization for both existing and new accounts.Computer proficiency required in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Proficiency in Spanish is highly preferredExperience working in maritime shipping industry is preferredSolid grasp of the logistics, financial and economic aspects of sales and supply chainSelf-starter with very strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to identify key decision makers and build relationships. An adept networker.Advanced knowledge of data mining systems such as Cognos/Tableau, Access, Oracle BI, etc., is highly preferredLead and support vendor relationship and contract management, including the coordination and follow up on vendor claims and issues, contract renewals, etc.Perform any other duties as required within the Order-to-Cash cyclePhysical Demands and Other Requirements

Physical requirements include the ability to carry 30 lbs. and drive a car (valid driver's license required).

Position is fully remote can be based anywhere in the country.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
