Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Glazing Estimator to join our innovative team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in Commercial Glazing, Glazing Project Management, and experience with bullet-resistant, blast, and storm impact glazing. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field and a proven track record of success.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Glazing Estimator, your primary role will be to prepare detailed estimates for our glazing projects, ensuring we are providing competitive and accurate bids. You will analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services. You'll also be responsible for:

1. Reviewing data to determine material and labor requirements and preparing itemized lists.
2. Computing cost factors and preparing estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
3. Preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
4. Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
5. Conducting special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the role of Permanent Glazing Estimator, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Glazing Estimator or in a similar role.
2. Proven experience with Commercial Glazing and Glazing Project Management.
3. Experience with bullet-resistant, blast, and storm impact glazing is a must.
4. Strong knowledge of the manufacturing process, materials, and costs involved.
5. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
6. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
8. Proficiency in MS Office and estimation software.
9. Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
