JOB SUMMARYThe Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team who is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all assigned areas. The Peri Anesthesia Nurse is trained in both pre and post-op care as well as initial Phase I care of a patient in PACU. The Peri Anesthesia Nurse takes calls for postoperative patients in PACU daily as well as on weekends and holidays for emergent cases.
Must be phase 1 and phase 2 recovery trained!!
This is 4 - 10 hour shifts
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:2-year Associates degree or diploma from a 3-year Nursing program requiredBachelor's degree preferredMust possess a valid State of Maine RN licenseBLS/ACLS/PALS certification requiredExperience:1-year previous nursing experience preferredMedical terminology requiredOther Skills Required:Excellent mathematical and analytical skillsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
