One of the largest behavioral health facilities in the nation, Peace Hospital is known for providing care for children, adolescents, adults and senior adults, age 55 and older.Its Kosair Charities Childrens Peace Center is the largest and most comprehensive private provider of youth inpatient behavioral health services in the country. The hospital was the nations first behavioral health care center to open a retail pharmacist operated, long-acting injection clinic. The clinic was established to help people adhere to prescribed medications for behavioral health conditions, such as substance use and psychotic disorders.
Our MissionAs an academic health care system, we will transform the health of the communities we serve through compassionate, innovative, patient-centered care.Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization specifically focused on behavioral health.The area of focusAges 13-18Patients requiring hospitalization for mental health emergencies, Male Intensive UnitRequired QualificationsRegistered Nurse credentialed from the Kentucky Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date.BLS required from American Heart Association.Associate Degree from accredited nursing programAbility to complete Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training and successful completion during new hire orientation.
