Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)

is adding Six (6) Inpatient Psychiatrists to the Psychiatry group at

NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. The Department of Psychiatry

is at the forefront of providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health services in a dynamic and diverse urban setting. We serve a vibrant community in New York City, offering a wide range of psychiatric services to individuals and families from all backgrounds across our 4 adult inpatient psychiatric units, 1 Adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit, our psychiatric emergency department, our substance use disorder services and robust adult and child ambulatory programs that deliver in-person and telehealth services. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to innovation and excellence, providing a supportive environment for both patients and staff.The hospital has a psychiatry residency program and maintains a strong academic affiliation with

Their Values are built on a foundation of social and racial equity and has established the ICARE standards for all staff.Responsibilities:Under general direction, performs or directly supervises the provision of the professional, general, or specialty medical work of ordinary difficulty.Demonstrates knowledge of the Privacy and Security rules outlined in the HIPAA guidelines.Examines patients, orders or performs appropriate diagnostic tests.Formulates diagnosis, directs or preforms appropriate therapeutic treatment and counsels patients.Provides guidance and participates in the teaching of house staff, in staff conferences, and in research projects as directed.Advises the less experienced members of the professional medical staff.Plans, organizes and directs the operation of a major segment within a medical service or medical program in a hospital or similar health facility; or assists the Chief of Service in the planning, organizing and directing of the entire medical service or medical program.Assists in the administration and coordination of the service.Assists in the establishment and maintenance of standards of performance for physicians and other professional employees working in the service.Performs other administrative, professional, consultative duties as needed by the Chief of Service.Qualifications:
