offers a comprehensive and fully integrated stack of cloud applications and cloud platform services.Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) AI Networking team is building an ultra-high performance network required to support AI/ML/HPC workloads. This is your opportunity to join the AI revolution and design a network which can scale from tens to thousands of GPU without compromising on performance. This team will deliver Network-as-a-Service that handles provisioning, life cycle management, performance tuning, monitoring and security of our customers’ cluster network infrastructure.As a Senior Director of the software engineering division, you will:Lead a team that designs, develops, solves problems and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc.Apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to lead software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to current and future design specifications.Build improvements within an existing software architecture and envision improvements to the architecture.Direct and ensure the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers.Interact internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy.We are looking for strong leaders with backgrounds in distributed systems and networking to help build new services on a multi-tenant cloud environment at a massive scale while also contributing towards the growth of the overall virtual networking portfolio.As a service leader, you will:Define the product working with product management.Help define service strategy and roadmap.Represent the organization at the VP and SVP level.Manage the design, development, and operations of the team.Collaborate with your team, peers, and senior leadership to identify requirements, coordinate delivery, and integrate solutions for new features and functionality.Provide technical expertise and leadership.Recruit and continue to build out a capable and cohesive engineering team.Qualifications:10 years experience designing, delivering, and operating large scale distributed systems in production environments.7 years experience managing large-scale organizations, preferably with multiple layers of management.Demonstrable success mentoring and growing junior engineers to senior levels.Strong knowledge of Operating Systems fundamentals.Strong knowledge of networking, distributed systems and high-performance computing fundamentals.Experience with build automation, continuous integration and continuous deployment tools.Oracle is committed to including people with disabilities at all stages of the employment process.
