Job Description

The Associate Director, Marketing Automation is responsible for designing and implementing marketing automation campaigns that drive customer engagement and conversion. This role requires a strong understanding of marketing automation technologies, best practices and experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The person must be skilled in managing data, creating personalized content, designing complex marketing automation campaigns, and tracking their performance. The Associate Director, Marketing Automation must work closely with Digital Marketing Operations Business Partners to ensure campaigns are aligned with the overall marketing strategy.Reporting to the Executive Director, Digital Marketing Operations, the Associate Director, Marketing Automation will be responsible for:Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement marketing automation campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud to drive customer engagement, lead generation and nurture, and sales.Develop and implement both short-term and long-term roadmaps for improving marketing automation capabilities.Stay abreast of changes to customer communication and privacy laws to manage customer data in a compliant way.Create complex customer journeys with trigger-based automation campaigns and develop personalized content for email, social media, SMS, and other media channels.Collaborate with Digital Marketing Operations Business Partners to ensure campaigns are aligned with the overall marketing strategy and business objectives.Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Operations team, Digital Strategy and Customer Experience team, and other internal/external stakeholders on the execution of the Next Best Action (NBA) roadmap regarding the Marketing Automation platforms and data within the US market.Analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness and ROI.Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing automation trends, best practices, and technologies.Manage outsourced resources on delivering the operational tasks.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree and Ten Years' Experience.Masters' Degree and Eight Years' Experience.Ph.D. and Six Years' Experience.Preferred QualificationsProven track record of designing and implementing successful marketing automation campaigns that drive customer engagement, lead generation, and sales conversion.Strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or other marketing automation platforms, email marketing, SMS, push notifications, and other digital channels.Any of the following certifications a plus:Salesforce Marketing Cloud AdminSalesforce Marketing Cloud ConsultantSalesforce Marketing Cloud Email SpecialistExperience with A/B testing and campaign optimization techniques.Experience in managing outsourced resources and collaborating with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to US pharmaceutical marketing, including FDA regulations and guidelines.Direct experience running marketing campaigns through a US biotech/pharma regulatory review process is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize workload.Excellent project management and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience working with pharmaceutical, or biotech industries is a plus.People Leader AccountabilitiesCreate Inclusion - knowing the business value of diverse teams, modelling inclusion and embedding the value of diversity in the way they manage their teams.Develop Talent - understand the skills, experience, aspirations and potential of their employees and coach them on current performance and future potential.
