Some 18,000 financial services and healthcare organizations, from the world's largest institutions to local firms, manage and account for their investments using SS&C's products and services.Job DescriptionSenior C++ Software EngineerLocations : San Francisco, CA - HybridGet To Know The TeamThis role is part of the Geneva development team focused on building the next generation of SS&C Advent’s award winning Geneva portfolio management and accounting platform.What You Will Get to DoAnalyze, design and implement new features as we look to modernize and scale our existing platform.Maintain existing code.Collaborate with other senior engineers on design & implementation.Work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.Document and communicate feature implementation & design.What You Will BringBachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.5+ years of professional experience developing enterprise applications in C++ on Linux/Unix.Solid foundation in object-oriented design, data structures, design patterns and software architectures.Deep understanding of complex C++ features such as memory management, interrupt handling and parallel processing.Comfortable using debuggers.Knowledge of relational and/or object-oriented databases.Preferred ExperienceExperience with Git for source code management.Experience with the GNU toolchain.Experience working in and developing for Unix/Linux environments.Expert in one or more scripting languages such as JavaScript and Python.Basic knowledge of accounting/finance systems.Thank you for your interest in SS&C!
