Oversee the strategic and operational management of our facilities and workplace experience. Lead a small team of workplace professionals to foster a positive and engaging workplace culture and environment across our global offices. Work collaboratively with our leaders and Strategic Business Services partners to improve our office experience, plan and execute events and expand our offices as we continue to grow.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement a strategic plan for facilities management aligned with OpenGov’s growth and goals
Conduct regular assessments of existing facilities to identify areas of improvement and efficiency
Partner with leaders, finance and talent and utilize data to understand headcount growth implications and forecast space needs
Manage the facilities budget, monitoring expenditures and implementing cost-saving measures and efficient use of resources
Project Management:
Negotiate and manage all leases
Oversee design, branding, construction, renovation and relocation projects
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required standards
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, designers and internal stakeholders as needed
Workplace Experience:
Own the day-to-day operations of our global facilities, ensuring an excellent experience for our OpenGov team and visitors
Ensure facilities operate efficiently and are well maintained
Manage team of office managers to drive a positive and productive workplace culture
Provide training and development opportunities to team members
Implement and oversee physical safety programs and compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
Work with IT and other functions to support customer on-sites, internal meetings and other events hosted at offices
Support employees with various office issues (e.g. conference rooms, scheduling, supplies, incoming and outgoing mail, travel arrangements, etc.)
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers
Negotiate contracts and agreements for supplies and services to ensure high quality at competitive prices
Monitor vendor performance and address any issues
Requirements and Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
5+ years of facilities leadership experience required
Experience managing a team of facilities professionals
Ability to prioritize and apply sound judgment
Assertive, motivated and have excellent communication skills
Proactive and takes initiative/ownership; finds problems and identifies and implements solutions
Partners well with others, develops & preserves positive relationships across org(s) while juggling multiple/complex demands in a fast paced environment
Ability to receive difficult feedback/complaints, focusing on creating win/win solutions
Demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and be able to work effectively with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment
Available in the office during normal working hours and available out of hours, as needed
Some travel to offices required on an as-needed basis
Other Compensation: Bonus eligible
The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
