This
hybrid role
(at least 40% of the time in office), based out of our
US Headquarters
in
Atlanta, Georgia , requires up to
10% travel domestically and internationally.
About the role
You will deliver data-driven actionable insights that create patient value and ensure the right allocation of resources for insight generation. This role leads an analytics team focused on commercial assessments and viabilities for our early pharma assets within the Global Advanced Analytics Engine (the center of excellence and delivery for strategic, tactical, and operational guidance, expertise, and execution capacity), providing knowledge and actionable insights to drive objective, evidence-based decision-making to support our pipeline drugs, helping create strategic insights for commercial planning.
Who you’ll work with
You will lead a team of up to eight direct reports and will also work with other teams including new product planning, real world evidence, translational medicine, clinical trial operations and recruitment, and clinical strategy teams. You will also work with Commercial teams, finance and science and technology Services. Externally, you may work with data insights contractors/vendors.
What you’ll do
Drive early patient solutions strategic objectives by supporting fact-based decision making through data and analytics projects.
Ensure that the right seats at the relevant tables are “earned” to secure the advanced analytics function involvement in the right discussions with the right stakeholders.
Evolve the adoption and usage of (secondary) data and advanced analytics by demonstrating its impact and evolve UCB to become a reference in the industry.
Drive enhanced communication capabilities within your team where people obtain a deep business understanding.
Translate business questions into tangible solutions and outcomes.
Drive deep partnership with the Hub insights teams.
Foster the ideation and creation of new analytics capabilities and models where driving impact for UCB.
Be the corporate leader of data-driven insights to support tactical business opportunities, and be a champion for a data-driven, decision-making culture.
Will be a member of the Global Advanced Analytics leadership team.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills
Master/Doctor’s degree in quantitative area is preferred, Bachelor’s is required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in acting as a bridge between functional and technical teams, challenging each team on their assumptions.
Strong experience working in early patient solutions within the pharmaceutical industry.
Thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
You must also be able to interpret model results and identify potential model errors (e.g., overfitting, model bias, correlation vs causation).
You are driven by impact and possess strong creativity in piercing through disparate data sets to solve business questions.
Ability to tailor your communication style to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
You can create creative solutions to technical and organizational roadblocks that can emerge.
You have an agile mindset and love to test-and-learn.
This position's reasonably anticipated base salary range is $177,200 - $232,575 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
