School of the Incarnation is seeking qualified candidates for the Development Director position for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. The Development Director works closely with the principal and others to ensure the long-term stability of the school by building relationships with a variety of stakeholders and actively seeking alternative sources of funding. The Director will lead and create structures to cultivate donors, advance fundraising, and actively promote the school to the community at large.
Essential Functions
Cultivate positive relations among alumni, current and past parents, and community
Research and identify a prospect base of potential donors for major and planned gifts
Maintain and grow donor database
Supervise fundraising activities by increasing annual philanthropic support, major and planned gifts, and private grants to meet measurable goals
Explore and develop grant funding sources
Develop, manage and implement all aspects of Annual Fund/CFC Campaign (calendar, top donor cultivation, segmentation, theme development, print production, marketing, research, acknowledgements, budget and analysis)
Execute gift acknowledgement process and procedures
Assist in the development and execution of capital campaigns aimed at maintaining and/or expanding existing facilities.
Develop and oversee execution of alumni reunions and gatherings
Represent School of the Incarnation in the greater community as needed (parishes, business/leadership groups)
Position Qualifications
Demonstrated passion and commitment to the mission of Catholic education
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, liberal arts, non-profit management or other related field is required.
Five+ years of professional development experience in positions with progressive responsibilities
A proven track record in major gift fundraising
Ability and confidence to speak to a wide range of individuals
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and GSuite.
Experience with a donor management system (Little Green Light preferred).
