Seattle University strives to be a welcome, open and safe campus climate for all who learn, live and work at Seattle University.Position DescriptionReporting to the Head Men's Basketball Coach, this 12-month position will provide comprehensive support to the head coach, coaching staff, and the athletic administration in building and sustaining a championship-level men's basketball program, focusing on the quality of student-athlete experience, budget management, and rules compliance. This position is expected to liaise with offices, units, and individuals necessary to support the success of men's basketball.Responsibilities include:Recruiting Operations:Coordinate with Admissions on campus visits and incoming players.Coordinate with Housing & Residence Life.Coordinate with other departments to facilitate player recruiting (visits, etc.).Conduct campus tours for recruits & families.Create and manage recruiting mail-out.Basketball Operations:Organize and arrange all team travel.Organize and account for all equipment.Manage budget and business operation functions.Ensure compliance & produce related documentation.Serve as facilitator and support Men's Basketball team and visiting team facility needs.Coordinate as needed with game, event, and promotions staff on game day, and provide insight and logistics support to head coach during and following games.Assist with youth sport camp operations.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree plus two years of relevant work experience in a similar program or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.Excellent written and oral communication skills, and previous supervisory experience preferred.Must have a strong knowledge of, and commitment to, NCAA rules and guidelines. Must demonstrate commitment to the university’s mission, vision, and values. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other protected status.Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
