The Recruiter & Training Specialist is a key, full-time staff position at LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired (LightHouse) in San Francisco. The Recruiter & Training Specialist reports to the Talent Manager and will be responsible for talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees, as well as developing and delivering training programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees. QUALIFICATIONS:

4 years of HR, administrative or related experience. Sourcing, as well as in-person and virtual interview experience are a must. Proven experience as a Training Specialist or similar role. Proficiency in using training software and e-learning platforms. Must be able to report into our San Francisco headquarters and Alameda office for monthly in-person new hire orientations. Comfortable presenting in front of a group of 20 or less new hires. Personable in-person, via emails, and virtual meetings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. Proven ability to stay organized, handle multiple tasks and competing priorities, provide excellent follow-through/up, and meet deadlines. Consistent, versatile, adaptable, and an enthusiastic willingness to work with changing priorities. Strong interpersonal skills and is proactive. Ability to deal effectively with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels. Proficient in MS Office suite of software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.). Familiarity with HRIS platforms; ADP (WFN) systems is a plus. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruitment Management: Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. Revise and post job advertisements on various job boards, social media, and company websites. Source candidates through various channels (job boards, social media, professional networks, etc.). Attend job fairs, career events, and build networks to source candidates, as applicable. Review resumes and applications, conduct initial phone screenings, and identify suitable candidates. Candidate Management: Collaborate with hiring managers to understand position needs. Conduct interviews, provide feedback to candidates/Manager, and guide them through the hiring process. Manage and provide candidates/Managers with a positive experience throughout the hiring process. Compliance: Stay updated and uphold compliance on labor laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure Talent practices and policies remain compliant, as well as reduce legal risks. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies in multiple regionalities. Training Program Development and Delivery: Conduct in-person new hire orientation sessions in San Francisco and Alameda and ensure new employees are integrated smoothly into the organization. Develop standardized department (on-boarding) training programs and materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, and workshops. Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees at various levels. Utilize a variety of training methods, including in-person, virtual, and blended learning approaches. Adapt training delivery to meet the diverse learning styles of participants. Needs Assessment and Improvements: Conduct training needs assessments to identify skills or knowledge gaps. Determine training priorities and objectives and align training initiatives with organizational goals. Develop and implement evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness and impact of training programs. Continuously improve training materials and methods based on feedback and evaluation results. Administrative Responsibilities and Support: Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, materials, and equipment. Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and outcomes, as well as own accountability for completion. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in training and development. Assist with special projects related to Talent Acquisition initiatives. Ability to perform other related duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to carry or transport 20lbs Sit/Stand at a desk and perform intensive computer work, as needed Operate standard office equipment Must be able to independently travel to all LightHouse physical locations and events as needed. Must be able to attend in person the 3 day New Hire Onboarding Orientation every month (2 days in San Francisco and 1 day in Alameda) WORKING CONDITIONS:
