Director of Sales & Marketing
Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans against a defined hotel budget to maximize revenues through direct sales, marketing, e-commerce channels, public relations and community partnerships.

Essential Job Functions:
Develop a strong Ecommerce presence managing internet market and social media opportunities.
Work in partnership with the Director of Revenue Management to develop and implement sales strategies.
Use internal and external resources to develop strategic plans for all business segments.
Understand sales processes and support corporate goals to enhance customer value.
Identify customer business requirements and craft offers to increase revenue share.
Monitor achievement of objectives for the sales team and correct shortfalls.
Achieve annual hotel revenue goals as established in the annual budget.
Maintain relationships with key accounts to increase satisfaction and revenue.
Use professional sales techniques to negotiate terms that satisfy customer requirements.
Prepare and maintain an annual marketing plan with measurable initiatives.
Accept leadership responsibilities and develop effective presentations.
Interview, select, train, and coach associates to perform according to standards.
Travel locally to promote the hotel and review competition.
Follow sustainability guidelines related to HHM’s EarthView program.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
Position Requirements:
Four-year college degree required; additional coursework in business administration, marketing, and communications is a plus.
Previous sales experience in a comparable hotel size and scope required.
Public relations and community marketing experience required.
Proficient in Excel, Word, Delphi, and access database tools.
