Purpose of the Position:

Tallgrass Energy is planning to hire a Vice President of Greenview to provide leadership and technical guidance to all aspects of Greenview and construction, ensuring that the Company’s capital project planning and execution goals are met. The successful candidate will lead the Tallgrass team and EPC contractors to complete the necessary design/engineering, project planning and governance, reporting and execution of safe, reliable, on schedule and budget capital projects. The Vice President of Greenview will be responsible for the oversight of the project team executing the development of Tallgrass’s ammonia and CO2 plant facilities. The Vice President of Greenview will oversee a project team and third-party EPC contractors’ performance to ensure the proper monitoring of safety planning and implementation, compliance and performance, constructability, project progress, financial performance against budgets and Integrity Management.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountability to safely execute projects and deliver within agreed project scope, budget, and schedule.

Achieve technically sound, risk-based design and engineering for projects to assure a sound planning basis for construction and development; execute and achieve defined scope.

Support and ensure full compliance to all regulatory approvals for projects and operations.

Ensure adherence to schedules and budget, initiating and implementing corrective action when required.

Ensure the required manpower and equipment is in place to achieve Greenview objectives, while meeting approved expenditures.

Lead the development and implementation of short-, mid-, and long-term engineering planning and structures in support of Greenview and/or construction activities.

Define project staffing requirements and ensure that resources are successfully deployed to meet project objectives.

Responsible for directly preparing RFQs, vetting applications and actively involved in selecting and recommending EPC, EPCM contractors and for directly managing the contracts.

Participate in negotiations with vendors and contractors for purchases of equipment, material and supplies and/or services and/or rental of equipment, and resolve budget, schedule and quality issues.

Coordinate design efforts with vendors and licensors to assure proper and complete integration.

Assist with resolution of major project conflicts (typically external) and corporate conflicts impacting the project performance. Develop detailed project plans to track progress reporting at board level.

Responsible for strategic project risk assessments and mitigation; prepare project scopes, schedules, and tracking.

Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Prepare all reporting and management updates for internal and external reporting.

Demonstrate awareness and commitment to health, community and environmental protection and take action to ensure that unsafe practices or non-compliant behaviors do not occur.

Inform, involve and engage key internal and external stakeholders appropriately; develop and maintain positive relationships and represent Tallgrass Energy positively in the community.

Experience and Professional Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a seasoned executive with at least 15 + years of applicable experience in the industrial processing, LNG, midstream, or the petrochemical sector, involving significant capital project management experience.

Key requirements and attributes include:

A minimum of 15 years of experience in the management of all the various areas associated with complex development projects, including safety, QA/QC, compliance, design, procurement, cost, scheduling, construction, commissioning, start up and testing.

Demonstrated experience leading diverse and highly specialized engineering teams. Proven experience managing scoping studies, pre-feasibility studies, and EPCM contractors.

A sound understanding and knowledge of global petrochemical markets - particular understanding of the green and blue ammonia markets a plus.

Knowledge and/or experience of midstream transportation and gas markets.

Seasoned and proven successful management of EPC projects from conceptual stage through pre FEED and FEED, procurement, construction, commissioning and, ultimately, the start-up and operational phases.

A strong internal and external customer orientation with an ability to ensure the highest project performance in terms of budget, quality and schedule on the projects they manage.

A team player and builder with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Well-developed organization and communication skills.

Strong leadership capability and experience building and mentoring a high performing team.

Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with all levels associated with any project. This includes being able to present information to senior management, Board of Directors, investors and lenders while being able to relate well to peers and direct reports.

Solid understanding of risk management, risk transfer and risk mitigation as well as knowledge of contract terms and conditions.

A deep knowledge of project economics, engineering design and construction, procurement and project controls, processes and procedures.

This executive should have a reputation for high integrity and ethics and a collegial style and ability to work well with peers within the organization.

Relates well to people, inspires trust, and able to work effectively with colleagues possessing world-class technical and commercial skills.
