Connection Approval Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Connection Approval Lead that can bring demonstrated experience to support a Department of Defense customer. The team will support the client in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing computing risks while developing strategies to secure the Agency's systems, networks, and data. It will ensure the accreditation of systems through robust cybersecurity strategies and continuous monitoring to protect against internal and external threats. The program's goal is to enhance cybersecurity, ensuring that information infrastructure remains secure, accessible, and trusted by authorized users.Duties and responsibilities include:Develop, maintain, and update briefings, white papers, CONOPS, COOP Plans, the DISN CPG, and other RE41 documentation for internal and external applications.Prepare and distribute Connection Approval Branch memorandums and correspondences.Develop SOPs.Attend and provide input to up to 12 external events annually to include conferences, governing working groups, boards, and panels (e.g. DSAWG, OSD, and Service/Agency CAO meetings) that support Connection Approval Branch mission roles and responsibilities.Attend weekly division or branch working group meetings, Service/Agency DISN CAO meetings.Provide assistance with data content management of CAO databases by detecting and correcting (or removing) corrupt or inaccurate records from a record set or database.Provide Quality Assurance activity including management of organizational mailboxes; assigning NIPR/SIPR/VPN/Non-DISN connections/Cloud Mission Owner Information Technology Process (CITP) connection packages correspondence; and collecting mission partner metrics using Government furnished information systems.Required Qualifications:5 or more years' relevant experience.Demonstrates knowledge and experience with functional area expertise in National and DoD IT policy.Demonstrate knowledge and experience with establishing and maintaining a process for evaluating software and associated documentation.Demonstrate expert level knowledge of determining the resources required for quality control.Demonstrate the ability to maintain the level of quality throughout the software life cycle.Demonstrate the ability to conduct formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development lifecycle.Demonstrate the ability to provide daily supervision and direction to support staff.Draft white papers, CONOPS, COOP Plans, the DISN CPG, and other RE41 documentation.Provide cybersecurity policy and process analysis and recommendations.Provide IA technical and engineering support for the compliance analysis and connection approval requirements IAW Federal and DoD cybersecurity policy.Provide analysis of CAP package artifacts.DoD 8570 IAM/IAT Level III certification. This will change to a DoD 8140 equivalent once a DISA 8140 policy is released.Education Requirement:

Bachelor's degree IT-related discipline required.Clearance Requirement:
