Job Description:
Director of Facilities is responsible for the upkeep and safety of all buildings with OTC (internal and external areas) and rentals. This is a supervisory role of others.
Responsibilities
Daily list of tasks/activities given out to assistant director of maintenance and then per maintenance employee/student worker
Create Purchase Orders (PO) for maintenance supplies and building needs
Get signatures as required
Give to Accounts Payable
Check with Accounts Payable about ETA
Track and maintain office furniture (desk, chairs, bookcases, etc.) and distribute or change as requested
Interact with outside vendors
Trash removal
Environmental removal (oils, materials, etc.)
Construction crews
Landscapers
Obtain quotes for work to be done
Manage setup for special events (open house, acceptance days, etc.)
Manage setup for regular events (graduation on and off site, conferences, etc.)
Perform tasks dealing with:
Electrical
Heating and cooling
Plumbing
Drywall construction work
Painting needs (internally and exterior)
Carpentry work
Masonry needs
Flooring needs (buffing, cleaning, painting, etc.)
Ceiling and tile repairs
Roofing repairs
Snow removal
Other duties as assigned by Campus Director
Knowledge/Skills
Minimum of 2+ years of experience.
Must have current, valid Ohio Driver’s License.
Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly.
Familiar with all current health and safety regulations.
Ability to work well with ever-changing priorities and situations.
Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the facility.
