You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:

Lead a team of client engineers supporting Android and iOS technologies at Strava.

Advocate for foundational work that elevates product and business needs for the long-term.

Drive the strategy for Frameworks and Tools including build systems, design systems, localization systems, and platform-specific frameworks.

Build an inclusive and impactful team culture within your team.

Work closely with other engineering leaders on team-wide initiatives such as hiring, the intern program, and career development.

You will be successful here by:

Engaging in work with an empathetic and business-aligned leadership mindset.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and understanding their needs.

Coaching the engineers on the team and supporting their career development at all different levels and career stages.

Applying exceptional judgment to challenging situations.

Embracing an inclusive, collaborative environment that elevates a diverse set of voices and experiences.

We’re excited about you because you:

Have experience leading and managing teams of 6+ engineers.

Have experience working with internal customers and partnering with staff+ engineers to make long-term technology decisions.

Have expertise in at least one of the client technology stacks: Android (Kotlin), iOS (Swift), or Web (React, Server Side Rendering, and Micro Front Ends).

Are able to balance the tension between long-term foundational work and incremental improvements to make internal customers’ lives better.

Have a track record of improving developer productivity through tooling and architecture strategies.

This is a hybrid role based in Denver, CO.
