The Psychiatrist provides psychiatric assessment, intervention, management, and evaluation to patients, under the clinical supervision of the Vice President of Mental Health in the Mental Health Services Division. During the psychiatric assessment, the Psychiatrist determines the need for initiation and continuation of medication, monitors response to medication in terms of therapeutic benefit and side effects, and provides evaluation around the presence of symptoms, severity of symptoms, lethality assessment, medical status, substance use, and stressors.Requirements
Completes psychiatric assessment of clients who are currently prescribed psychotropic medications, makes medication adjustments as clinically indicated, given assessment, standards of care, and patient preference.Provides psychotherapy to clients as needed.Conducts initial psychiatric evaluations; taking into account biological, psychological, and social factors to arrive at a diagnosis, make recommendations related to treatment, provide education, and prescribe medications as appropriate.Completes all required clinical documentation in the electronic health record.Interfaces with the clients' therapists, psychiatric nurse, and support staff in coordinating care for the client. Reviews and signs off on treatment plans in the electronic health record.Adheres to Company policies and procedures to include being aware of the importance of Corporate Compliance Policies and the Code of Conduct. Staff is responsible for maintaining required certifications and licenses.
