A vacancy exists for an Early Head Start Supervisor of Child-Care Partnerships within the CCIU's Division of Student Services. This position will be providing services/located in the 10 counties closest to Chester County, including

Chester, Philadelphia, Montgomery, Lancaster, Northampton, Lehigh, Bucks, Delaware, Berks, Lebanon, Dauphin, York, Adams, Cumberland, Perry, and Franklin Counties.

Summary:

The

Supervisor of Early Head Start-Child Care Partnerships

will provide leadership oversight and management of the EHS-CCP program in the 16 county region of southeastern PA. The EHS-CCP Supervisor is responsible for effective service delivery, contract compliance, coordination of efforts with Child Care Partners, and evaluation of performance in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards. The EHS-CCP Supervisor will be responsible for the direct supervision of EHS-CCP staff.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Monitor all CCIU operated EHS Center-Based Programs and all Child Care Partners to ensure compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards.

Ensure that all families enrolled in the program meet all requirements for eligibility in accordance with the standards established under EHS-CCP.

Develop positive relationships with families enrolled in the program, assisting with family needs and addressing any family concerns that arise.

Monitor the implementation of the mental health/disabilities services in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and other federal and state guidelines as required.

Monitor the comprehensive health and nutrition services for children and families that include a range of medical, dental and nutritional services and follow-up in accordance to goals and federal performance standards.

Ensure that CCIU’s Child Care Providers and Partners are providing appropriate educational services, including oversight of curriculum fidelity, program planning, and staff development.

Develop and maintain successful relationships with community partners and work collaboratively as part of the Leadership Team.

Provide direct supervision and leadership of EHS-CCP staff; including interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work.

Supervise and evaluate assigned staff with regard to educational and administrative planning including provision of feedback that leads to positive change in performance.

Ensure staff follows and reinforce agency policies and state and federal law.

Participate in the annual program self-assessment.

Complete and submit all required reports on a timely manner. Perform any other duties as needed to meet the requirements and needs of the EHS-CCP Grant.

Ensure that School Readiness goals, as developed by the CCIU and EHS-CCP program, are embedded in all aspects of the program.

Assist the Early Head Start Director in creating and monitoring the budget.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development & Family Studies or closely related field

required , Master's Degree

strongly preferred

Willingness to obtain Pennsylvania Director Credential within 18 months of attaining position

required

Experience and/or certification in infant-toddler mental health related field

strongly preferred

Supervisory experience

strongly preferred

Knowledge of operating federal grants

strongly preferred

Professional or Other Required Clearances:

Valid Driver's License & access to reliable transportation

required

Current police, child abuse, and FBI fingerprint clearances within 1 year

required

Anticipated Salary Range:

Project, Level 15, $72,801/yr. - $91,002/yr.* Placement on band is based on years of direct experience in a comparable role.260 day position, 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week
