Senior Procurement Manager

The growing Creative Play Labs team in Boston is looking for a strong procurement manager, who is passionate about creating the next generation of Play technology and engineering! We need a well-seasoned cross functional collaborator to deliver thoughtful recommendations while navigating a complex global market. The person in this role will need to be available late nights and early mornings, as this team's partners are located in Asia and Europe.

Core Responsibilities

Support and implement the critical initiatives of the Creative Play Labs group.

Collaborate as part of the project team to support the development to industrialization phase of our manufacturing project.

Provide expert partner & supplier management, budget management, cost negotiations, process improvements, etc.

Participate and lead in PFP activities with internal team members including Quality, Process Engineering, Play Engineering, tech continuity teams, strategic sourcing teams, the EMS and external component suppliers to meet cost targets (FCA/FMC).

Be responsible for the commercial relationship with the supplier and the representative of The LEGO Group to the supplier.

The mission of procurement is to ensure global supply base operational excellence while complying to LEGO requirements. This role focuses on supporting the product development of tech components from design to mass production, working with both internal and external partners to deliver the project objectives.

Do you have what it takes?

10+ years relevant working experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and project management.

Deep understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.

Supplier management experience with high quality deliverables in a multinational manufacturing environment.

Strong negotiation, communication, influencing and problem solving skills with ability to create and manage supplier and stakeholder relationships.

Excellent knowledge and understanding of manufacturing methodologies & processes of SMT and Box built.

Proven experience in EMS cost modeling and cost structure.

Familiar with New Product Introduction (NPI) procurement activities.

Strong knowledge in mechatronics commodities, key players and strategies.

Willingness and ability to travel.

New Location Update

This position will initially be based at our LEGO office at either Boylston St or St. James, Back Bay, Boston before moving to a new central Boston office location by the end of 2026. Our hiring teams will discuss this with you during the interview stages.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $120,500 - $180,700 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law.
