This position supports management planning and decision making by identifying, maintaining and evaluating information in order to recommend actions. The position will be responsible for the development, coordination and execution of the Company’s financial planning and analysis activities at an Enterprise level, and will serve as the key liaison between the business management financial teams and Corporate. This position will be responsible for planning, monitoring and executing the annual budget as well as quarterly and long range projections. This position also assists with special projects and any assigned tasks as deemed necessary by Management. This position directly leads a team of 19 within the Finance organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures.

Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.

Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.

Build, maintain and own long-term forecast of the Company’s historical and projected performance (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and financial metrics, along with inventory and capital spend.

Work as a liaison with various business units to develop and maintain financial planning and analyses models, including marketing pipelines, tax projection, borrowing base capacity and liquidity and debt covenants, as well as business line dashboards.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting projections as well as ad hoc presentations to the Executive team and Board of Directors.

Oversight of all general and administrative cost centers through partnering with the various leaders on quarterly and long range forecasts along with allocations to the various business units.

Responsible for project cash flow projections for construction and IT as well as projections around Trust inventory, Inventory Cost of Sales. Responsible for recommendations on inventory allocation across our portfolio, prioritization of trust loads and timing of our development needs through yield management and inventory distribution strategies.

Financial Planning and Analysis Tools:

Develop and maintain internal governance as well as program management over the Company’s financial planning and analysis tool and all related projects within the tool, including the implementation of a budgeting and forecast system company wide.

Develop financial models and analyses to support and comment on key strategic initiatives.

Adapt/customize reporting modules to yield KPI measurement and analytical insights in support of the Company objectives.

Create relevant dashboards and/or reporting tools to enable functional leaders to make data driven decisions for day-to-day operations and long-term goals.

Maintain and execute a uniform forecast/budget platform for the enterprise to report forecasts and budgets.

Budgeting:

Plan and execute the annual budget as well as quarterly and rolling twelve month forecasts as well as budget to actual analyses and trends.

Complete annual budget calendar and Company-wide communications.

Monitor key milestones in the budgeting process.

Drive goal setting process that supports Company objectives.

Special projects and ad-hoc reporting

as required, including pro-forma acquisition and new development models and market research. Responsible for partnering with business to drive enterprise and crafting modeling/analytics supporting key enterprise strategies. Partner with the business in changes in practices that would result in long range financial impact. Liaison with the Vice President of Finance as it relates to shareholder, board and external presentations to properly present financial information and discussionary information as applicable. Participate in the creation of management discussion and analysis and other key external deliverables focused on forward information.

Supervisory responsibilities over financial analysts

which entails overseeing the work product of others, assigning projects and priorities, responding to questions and coaching, and evaluating performance.

Lead financial forecasting

for homeowner associations (HOA), working closely with resort operations and the HOA finance team.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. MBA or relevant graduate degree a plus.

Relevant accounting/financial planning and analysis experience.

Timeshare/Hospitality/HOA industry experience.

Public company financial reporting and analysis experience.

Proficient in Excel at an intermediate or higher level.

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, detail-orientated and the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.

Must be able to communicate effectively (written and oral).

Must be a team player demonstrating key leadership qualities with a positive attitude.

Must be forward thinking in financial strategy to help drive the business to success.

Must be able to establish productive relationships with internal and external partners.

Ability to exercise judgment, handle multiple projects simultaneously with excellent problem solving skills.
