We’re seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Emerging Business Manager (EBM) to join our team. This role will be pivotal in shaping strategic program development across our energy sector programs. We’re looking for applicants with relative experience in industries such as renewables, carbon capture, clean energy production, nuclear, biofuels, electric power generation and distribution, and energy equipment and services.
For this high-impact role the ideal candidate has a dynamic, open, and strategic approach to understanding the emerging needs that will create meaningful change to the sector. They’re enthusiastic about the transformation to a cleaner world through development of breakthrough technologies. The successful candidate will guide all aspects of the program, including leading market research, performing customer discovery, collaborating with technologists and product development teams, attending conferences as well as creating innovative business models.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies for energy programs that align with our organizational goals and vision. Identify emerging technology trends that will drive breakthrough innovation as well as competitive advantage across the energy sector. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, business leaders and technologists, to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, universities, and industry experts, to gather insights that inform strategic decisions. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of new energy related programs. Provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Strongly Preferred Qualifications
MBA or equivalent professional experience with 7+ years industry experience in the energy sector with strategic roles. Proven experience in strategy development and implementation within the energy sector. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, passionate about collaboration and teamwork. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire to drive a culture of innovation and excellence.
