About this Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Site Controller, this is a hands-on pivotal role that involves overseeing and actively participating in the full cycle of accounts payable processing, with a primary focus on implementing process improvements to ensure timely payments.

Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate and timely payments.

Develop new accounts payable processes or enhance existing processes.

Lead and manage the accounts payable team, offering guidance, training, and support to ensure high-performance levels.

Actively participate in the timely and accurate processing of invoices, ensuring proper coding, approval, documentation, and payment.

Lead and participate in the month-end closing process for accounts payable.

Oversee credit card transactions for T&E, purchase cards & vendor cards (Concur, AMEX).

Develop and implement a process to reconcile Accounts Payable to our vendors’ records.

Plan payment cycles to ensure optimal use of cash.

Investigate accounts payable issues as needed.

Cultivate relationships with vendors and colleagues.

Possess knowledge of tax and accounting laws and standards.

Engage in general accounting activities, including research, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Requirements / Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related major.

3+ years of managerial experience with direct reports.

5+ years of accounts payable or related experience.

Proficiency in Visual or similar ERP system.

Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Demonstrated advanced analytical thinking skills.

Advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTable & VLOOKUP) and Word for analysis and business correspondence.

Prior experience with employee expenses (Concur, AMEX, or similar).

Education

Bachelors or better in Accounting
