Job Summary The Executive Director of Registration Services is primarily responsible for leading programs, outreach, and services to effectively support student success from enrollment through graduation. Responsibilities include working closely and collaboratively to lead in the areas of registration, classroom scheduling, maintenance of student records, graduation clearance, and related matters. The Executive Director of Registration Services is a key member of the Enrollment Management Leadership team.
The Executive Director ensures a seamless and successful experience is encountered by new, returning, existing, and graduating GGC students. This individual is expected to play a key role in fostering a positive work environment with the expectation of continuous improvement and first-class customer service. The position will also provide leadership to the Enrollment Management Services Division. Collaborative and team-oriented skills with a commitment to student success are essential attributes for this position.
Responsibilities
Provides visionary leadership to Registration and Enrollment Management Services.
Works collaboratively with the Registration Services, Enrollment Management Services, Deans, Faculty and New Student Connections to ensure a seamless and successful registration experience for all students.
Uses data effectively in planning, decision-making, assessment of enrollment strategies and processes as it relates to registration services.
Maintains knowledge of contemporary theories and best practices relating to registration services and enrollment management. Retains expert knowledge with changing technology and processes.
Responsible for student information system, registration, grading, degree and enrollment verification, academic records management, transcripts, compliance, application processing, and articulation, graduation auditing, and awarding of degrees.
Oversees the management of policies, processes, and operations of the Registrar's Office and provides leadership, innovation, vision, and accountability for the Enrollment Management Services Division.
Works with the Enrollment Management team and various GGC areas to produce class and exam schedules which serves the needs and preferences of the GGC community to support student success.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
4 Year / Bachelor's Degree
Ten or more years of experience in registration or admissions services at a higher education institution
Eight or more years of successful team leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate Degree
Master's degree
Experience with a Student Information Systems and strong computer literacy with database familiarity
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Skills in decision-making, leadership and organizational management
Skills in oral and written communications
Skills in providing, and coaching others to provide, excellent customer service
Skills in focusing on, and ability to manage, details
Skills in process development and project management
