Job DescriptionThe Front-End Web Merchandising Specialist role executes the strategy for promotional content on carnival.com — from new sales to brand announcements, new module designs to daily updates. Their aim is to increase engagement and booking conversion on the Carnival website across all devices while providing the best possible user experience and meeting established business goals. This role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the merchandising strategy including development, CMS implementation, maintenance, optimization, and governance. The role will focus on the development and implementation of new merchandising and maintenance of existing content via our content management system and other e-commerce platforms using HTML/CSS and JavaScript.Essential Functions:Implement all merchandising campaigns for Carnival.com on the front-end using JavaScript & HTML/CSS within Sitecore CMS and Optimizely platforms. Implementation of campaigns encompasses interpreting creative mockups and developing into code, maintenance, and continued optimization of existing content, and compliance with ADA and site performance guidelines.Expand on personalization strategy for our targeted personalization campaigns by incorporating analytics, concurrent campaigns, and business goals in the development of the rules logic, and audiences for these campaigns.Perform QA testing for accuracy and functionality across browsers and devices; troubleshoot and/or engage relevant teams (e.g. DevOps, support, ADA), as needed.Work cross-functionally coordinating with marketing teams and other Carnival business units such as Casino, E-commerce, Brand Marketing, and IT to ensure our merchandising being implemented follows brand guidelines (voice, digital style guide), best practices and compliance requirements (performance, ADA), incorporates learnings (A/B and user testing) and is properly tagged for analytics/reporting.Develop and implement innovative features with the goal of increasing engagement and booking conversion on the Carnival website for all devices.Qualifications:Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree.Discipline/Major: Marketing, Computer Science.Required Years and Area of Professional Experience: years of experience coding for websites, e-commerce or digital marketing experience. Mobile commerce experience a plus. Travel industries experience a plus.Critical Professional Related Technical/Computer Skills: Experience with CMS software (Sitecore a plus) and e-commerce platforms (Optimizely a plus); Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript; Photoshop; Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to execute consumer-facing digital strategies; Interface with a range of website, mobile, tablet, creative design initiatives; Project Management; Meeting facilitation and briefing; independent Decision-making skills; ability to work independently; Strong analytical skills; Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; Desire to learn; logical/critical thinking.Decision-Making:Operational: Decisions focus on day-to-day activities within the company. Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. May be requested to work a different shift. Other job-specific working conditions:

Must be comfortable working occasional early/evening/weekend hours as needed for announcements and deployments.This position is classified as 'in-office.' As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday. Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft.
