Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented Instructional Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing engaging and effective learning experiences for our organization.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for supporting the standardization and quality assurance of the coordination and completion of Tri-Service training products/programs.Attend periodic progress meetings.Oversee all aspects of training design and development projects.Serve as the technical reference source for subordinate designers and developers, and reviews jobs for overall effectiveness, and gives instructions on alternatives in order to increase productivity.Establish work schedule, and assignments of subordinates.Provide timelines based on the various phases of assigned projects which, due to their size, scope, and priority, must be segmented and assigned to other members of the training team.Establish objectives, work projects, advise on the technical advantages and disadvantages of various formats, styles, media, and methods of production, and recommends techniques and media for effective portrayal/playability IAW with customer requirements.Apply project management, curriculum development and training concepts, practices, and procedures to develop quality assurance in planning processes and ensure consistency of training product quality.Communicate effectively with team members, subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders in support of storyboard development.Lead training team in the development of qualitative and quantitative analysis of training products events and initiatives.Communicate effectively with customer and subordinates.Use ADDIE model and Knowles Principles of Adult Learning Theory to develop and update engaging material for training.Ensure 508 compliance on courseware and other training materials.Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.Review training evaluation results to ensure effectiveness of programs; recommends modifications as necessary.Provide input on training curricula and assists with development of materials, activities, and assessments.Skills- Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deploy training materials- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite for graphic design purposes- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Ability to conduct thorough research on various topics- Familiarity with educational technologies and tools- Experience with Adobe products is a plusEducationBachelor's degree in education, instruction technology, or similar fieldYears of experience required- Minimum 6 years of experience executing the full life cycle of the ISD process; OR- Has a minimum 10 years of experience executing the full life cycle of the ISD process.Job Type : ContractBenefits :401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule :8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation :Bachelor's (Required)Experience :full life cycle ISD process: 6 years (Required)Security clearance :Secret (Required)Ability to Commute :Falls Church, VA (Required)Ability to Relocate :Falls Church, VA: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location : In person
