The Senior Copywriter is responsible for conceptualizing ideas and writing original creative content in multiple styles for various channels. The position is both creative and strategic, conceptualizing ideas and collaborating closely with the Design and Development teams.
What You'll Do Here:
Create original content for various types of projects, including branding, integrated advertising, websites, press releases, blog posts, conference speeches, etc.
Manage the quality of copywriting deliverables, and ensure they meet MindgruveMacarta's standards and client expectations
Conduct research for topics related to projects, and identify areas for improvement in existing content
Shape tone and language of content
Edit and review content generated by the copywriting team
Collaborate with writers, designers, and developers
Work with project managers to ensure deadlines are met
Liaise with the Design team for enriching text with visual aids (e.g. images, charts, etc.)
Present work to senior members internally and occasionally clients
We Need a Person With:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional work experience
5-8 years of copywriting experience in a Copywriting agency or similar environment
Comfortable writing in various styles for multiple channels based on brand guidelines and strategy
Passionate about advertising
Ability to multitask
Familiarity with design practices
Interest in learning to nurture junior talent
Easy going, takes criticism in stride
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance; a flexible spending account; voluntary life and accident plans; and a 401(k) retirement plan with matching. Our headquarters is based in San Diego, California, with an additional office in Denver, Colorado. We're seeking local candidates (or those open to relocation) who are able to work collaboratively with us in one of our offices; however, based on business needs and unique job functions, some roles may be eligible for remote work.
