Geek+ is looking to hire a

Marketing Manager

to help execute the U.S. marketing plan and grow U.S. business, assisting the head of marketing on all marketing activities: trade shows, channel marketing, digital marketing, advertising, content creation and reporting.

This position requires event marketing experience, with a heavy emphasis in channel and brand marketing . It requires initiative, the ability to work independently with external stakeholders, and a strong drive to continuously learn and excel in a fast-paced, technological industry.

Location: We prefer local candidates in our San Diego, CA office. But for exceptional candidates we are open to remote, within the United States.

Responsibilities

Oversee marketing initiatives and support the branding and sales to expand the market in America:

Event Marketing : Support U.S. team and channel partners in executing in-person and online events with pre-and-post marketing communications strategies

Content creation: utilize social media platforms to promote events

Create in-house database for target marketing through e-mail, mailer, and web-based communications

Create and execute PowerPoint presentations for current and potential clients, speaking sessions, and internal communications and planning

Create and establish tracking, evaluation and follow-up processes using CRM to track performance management and potential ROI

Work with vendors and internal teams on event execution, including show planning, material handling, shipping, print, and travel plans

Channel Marketing

– Close collaboration with channel partners in establishing effective co-marketing strategies and campaigns

Develop and deliver “for partner marketing” brand positioning, strategy, and integration into campaigns through owned, earned, and paid channels

Develop channel specific strategies in conjunction with upcoming product launches

Define measurement plan and framework; align measurement approach with desired campaign objectives and utilize data-driven methodology, analysis, and measurement to improve effectiveness and efficiency across all marketing channels

Seek opportunities to collaborate across U.S. and Global teams, connecting like-activities, mutually beneficial scenarios, and inter-connected strategy to simplify and drive success.

Content Writing:

Support awards applications, press releases, long & short form blog content

Digital marketing : help execute SEO/ SEM plan, media & trade advertising, etc.

Marketing assets : help adapt and develop marketing assets (liaise video production, product brochures, draft case studies etc.)

Reporting : assist in formulating data-driven monthly activity reporting to global & regional team

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related course of study

Minimum 5-6 years of B2B marketing & events experience handling corporate brands, agency experience highly preferred

Business acumen with an understanding of B2B marketing and communications

Capable of executing large-scale event planning and execution

Ability to work and coordinate with a wide range of external partners & internal departments

Able to conceptualize and implement multi-asset marketing campaigns through launch and post launch activities

Superior writing skills with the ability to change voice and tone to suit audience

Ability to define and track performance metrics

Passion for technology, interest in robotics, and an understanding of the supply chain and logistics a plus

Interest in working in a fast paced, multicultural and multilingual environment requiring flexible working hours, and to think proactively (colleagues in multiple regions)

Available for travel (trade shows, video shoots etc.)
