Position Overview:

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the facility's equipment and infrastructure, ensuring a safe, efficient and effective working environment. This is a very “hands on” role that requires experience and technical expertise for a variety of tasks, including electrical and mechanical repairs, modifications and installations; facilities related equipment maintenance and repairs and installation; building security and external support activities management; and facilities space planning, design, movements and expansions.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety and compliance

Ensure compliance with required building codes

Ensure compliance with OSHA, State and local governmental regulations

Manage chemical management programs which conform to GHS, and governmental reporting requirements

Set the example by always abiding by established safety processes and PPE requirements

Work with HR to establish training plans and programs

Organize and implement external training activities

Conduct fire drills and emergency response processes and teams

Maintenance and Repairs

Utilize established maintenance software to identify and schedule facility and equipment maintenance activities

Perform routine maintenance on facility related equipment such as HVAC systems, Ultra-Pure Water systems, plumbing, process piping and gas distribution, and electrical systems

Provide training to employees on localized maintenance activities to distribute workload

Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair facility and production related equipment as necessary

Conduct repairs and upgrades as necessary to ensure equipment uptime and utilization

Conduct repairs to building structures, walls, bathrooms, and other building components

Coordinate repair activities outside the scope of internal capabilities

Facility and Equipment monitoring

Conduct daily walk-thru to review equipment functionality

Monitor cleanroom operations for operational readiness

Identify opportunities for improvement

Update logs and inspection records as required

Supervision of janitorial and other external support functions

Maintain building security and access needs and reporting

General Support:

Provide immediate response to reported issues

Provide general support to other departments and assist with special projects as required

Respond to facility-related emergencies outside of regular working hours when necessary

Work with groups to conduct space planning and furniture and equipment movement activities

Qualifications:

Requires High School Diploma – trade school and/or higher education desired

5 or more years of experience as a facilities technician or in a similar role

Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance

Experience with cleanroom operations and infrastructure

Competent understanding of Ultra-Pure Water and gas delivery systems and components

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints

Proficiency with hand and power tools

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy objects

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

May require travel within the state to supervise remote activities.

Understanding of widely used quality systems such as ISO 9001.

Ability to lift approximately 35 pounds.

What We Offer:

The salary range for this position is $67,000 - $80,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
