GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: ASM Global is the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities. This position, by performing personally or through subordinates and under the general supervision of the General Manager, will provide professional client services support in the planning, organization, and management of all aspects for the venue marketing plan, sponsorship sales, advertising, media promotions, social media campaigns and group sales within the facility, while interacting with clients, facility staff and related personnel to assure all venue and client needs are fulfilled.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and manages the venue marketing plan, content and assets for the department to function effectively as an in-house agency to create and promote regional and national awareness of the venue and its events.

Creates and supervises marketing initiatives for events through areas such as group sales, public relations, media placement, direct mail, street teams, promotional development, non-profit opportunities, website communications, social media and digital assets to maximize revenue through ticket sales and sponsorships.

Oversees the creation, budget, production and implementation of all radio, print, and digital content for the venue’s advertising, event advertising and digital assets to support the marketing of the venue and its events.

Directs the public relations image of the facility, while establishing and maintaining working relationships with media, industry influencers, community stakeholders and strategic partners.

Act as a creative director and work along with staff and/or outside advertising agency to develop all collateral.

Identify, develop, present and execute sponsorship opportunities including, but not limited to, all signage and event inventory, all promoted activities inside and/or outside the facility.

Lead or assist in the negotiations of sales contracts and agreements with building sponsors and create new business initiatives to identify new sponsorship revenue sources.

Develops and manages contracts and renewals while monitoring contract compliance and fulfillment.

Evaluate current marketing and sponsorships to ensure return on investments and efficient use of assets.

Work with all departments to create marketing and promotion plans to increase revenues.

Annually produce collateral such as marketing plan, year-end recap, year-end video and client parties, etc.

Prepares statistics, reports and presentations for executive leadership.

Operates the department with a conscious commitment to maximum exposure for the facilities and its events, through the most effective and efficient means possible while maintaining brand standards of logo and name when used by outside parties in partnerships or sponsorships.

Maintains current competency with national trends in the industry for the local, regional and national markets Recognizes opportunities to receive publicity from building operations, activities, awards/honors, etc. and share with local, regional or national media and/or ASM Corporate.

Responsible for maintaining cutting-edge status on new ideas or technologies related to website, mobile apps, social media, advertising/media opportunities and promotional items.

In coordination with the General Manager, acts as the venue spokesperson and liaison with the general public.

Serves as “manager on duty” for events when needed.

Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrate supervisory responsibilities following ASM Global policies and applicable laws.

Interview, hire and train employees; plan, assign and direct work; review and evaluate performance; address complaints and resolve problems.

Able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Ability to travel occasionally required.

Required to be subject to a credit check and a background screening.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Marketing, Public Relations or Sales in entertainment industry or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field preferred.

Corporate Sponsorship Sales experience preferred.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Exposure to and familiarity with similar facility environment.

COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate skills in Windows, Mac, MS Office, Adobe Suite, Website Maintenance, Basic HTML knowledge, Social Media Platforms, Digital Content Creation and Delivery.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Possess any licenses, certificates, or training required by local, state, or national authorities for performance of job duties and responsibilities at the facility is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Must be able to walk/stand extensively, kneel, climb to high walkways, balance, and maneuver throughout the various areas and surfaces of the venue.

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or occasionally more with assistance.

Work inside and outside the building is required and may have some exposure to adverse conditions.

Must be able to hear and speak to use a two-way radio.

Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
