ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT

The Assistant Vice President of Mortgage Strategic Initiatives & Analytics supports the success of a fast-paced and high-performing mortgage organization by championing process improvement practices and culture, enhancing operational efficiency and member experience. The incumbent uses industry expertise and workflow knowledge to evaluate current mortgage processes. When opportunities are identified, the incumbent develops a project plan that identifies key steps and associated timelines, collaborating internally and externally to enhance processes by leveraging functionality within our loan origination system. Responsible for managing wide-ranging mortgage projects that impact the Real Estate Lending department, and assisting on M&A due diligence and integration of acquired institutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Responsible for leading and overseeing all project management activities within Real Estate Lending, driving strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives.

Oversees the change process to support mortgage department general projects as determined by the VP, Mortgage Strategy & Transformation.

Collaborate with senior leadership to define project requirements and objectives.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline project management processes and deliverables.

Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Assist the VP, Mortgage Strategy & Transformation with the delivery of strategic vision for the mortgage department.

Use innovative techniques to problem solve, handle multiple priorities, and supervise innovation strategies.

Gather and review mortgage-specific M&A information on identified prospective financial institution acquisitions.

Assist the M&A process on the integration of mortgage activities from acquired financial institutions into VyStar.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third parties to document ongoing mortgage lending efforts needed on acquired institutions.

Act as the communications liaison, providing guidance, training, and resources needed for successful project delivery.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & CHANGE MANAGEMENT

Lead and oversee the execution of change management initiatives across the department.

Support a culture focused on member service, continuous improvement, and performance measurement.

Document existing processes, manage and analyze data, and recommend enhanced business processes.

Identify opportunities to improve work processes, enhance quality of service and productivity.

Support the development and implementation of procedures necessary to support mortgage processes.

Manage the Real Estate Lending SharePoint site and document storage of department procedures, job aids, product guides, etc.

DATA ANALYTICS

Develop actionable metrics to measure success of process improvement initiatives.

Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to inform strategic decisions.

Lead a team of analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data integrity.

Manage the Mortgage Administration Reporting System (MARS) tool for the department.

TRAINING

Use knowledge of process improvement approaches to train and facilitate working sessions.

Work with department leadership to assess training needs and support mortgage training initiatives.

Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback and performance metrics.

MARKETING

Assist the VP, Mortgage Strategy & Transformation with aspects of mortgage marketing.

Work with the department Marketing partner to support the development and execution of marketing campaigns.

Monitor and track the performance of marketing campaigns.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred.

Continuing education via local conferences and workshops is required.

EXPERIENCE

5-7 years of residential mortgage lending industry experience.

3+ years of project management experience.

3-5 years of supervisory experience.

3+ years of data analytics experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Direct experience with mortgage processes & products.

Strong analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
