Overview:

Your role as the Outlets General Manager will be to manage our a la carte outlets, creating and overseeing an experience that is elevated, yet approachable and inclusive. These include a recently constructed, modern Roof Restaurant, with a wraparound outdoor patio with breathtaking panoramic views of the cityscape and Lake Michigan, as well as the classic Elephant Room Bar. The Elephant Room, constructed in 1948 and newly restored, is a classic cocktail experience with beautifully preserved, mid-century vibes.

Founded in 1882 and fresh from a $65 million renovation in 2022, The Milwaukee Athletic Club is a beloved and prestigious institution in our downtown community, featuring a rooftop restaurant, a stunning bar, two ballrooms, event spaces, a pool, 3 floors of athletic space, 50 apartments, 6 hotel rooms, a modern co-working lounge and game room, and office space.

What you will do:

As the Outlets GM, your role involves overseeing and optimizing a la carte food & beverage operations with a focus on precise execution and attention to detail. Your responsibilities encompass coordinating staff, resources, and logistics, adapting to changes, and collaborating across departments to maintain high standards of presentation and service. In addition, you'll participate in a rotational MOD schedule for F&B, with a dedicated Events Manager focusing on Private Events. The Outlets GM will also rotate to provide support through à la carte and banquets as needed, working collaboratively with Events and BOH teams. This dynamic approach ensures a seamless and efficient operation across various dining experiences within the Milwaukee Athletic Club.

Competencies:

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience in high-end luxury hospitality, preferably in fine dining or high-end restaurants, and has demonstrated expertise in food and beverage management. Must exhibit strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record in training and developing staff to meet service standards. Excellent communication skills enable effective interaction with various stakeholders, and exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities efficiently manage operations and staff in an upscale hospitality setting. The ideal candidate embraces a flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, to accommodate the club's event schedule and member requirements.
