Summary:
The
Director, Manufacturing
is responsible for overseeing and managing ball plant manufacturing goals. Oversee daily operations including safety, quality, production planning, and resource allocation. Leads strategic execution in line with production capacity, capability, and cost of goods targets.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategies aligned with company manufacturing goals and objectives.
Coach, develop and mentor production associates and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as safety, quality, HR, engineering, maintenance, environmental, legal, R&D, and brand management.
Develop production, staffing, and budget plans.
Lead safety, quality improvement, cost reduction, continuous improvement, and productivity efforts as required.
Manage and develop a high performing team inclusive of hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
Responsible for delivering production plan ensuring productivity and profitability targets are met or exceeded.
Identify areas for process improvement and production optimization via capacity modeling, workflow analysis.
Requirements:
A bachelor degree in business, engineering or related fields of study required.
A minimum of 10 years of directly related progressively responsible professional experience of which a minimum of 4 years must be in manufacturing operations within a continuous improvement culture.
Prior golf ball manufacturing experience preferred.
Proven experience developing and implementing strategies that drive revenue and profitability growth within a lean manufacturing / continuous improvement culture.
Proficient in using manufacturing software systems and tools such as ERP systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and data analytics.
Demonstrated track record of inspirational leadership and management acumen.
Some travel may be required to support current facility, other locations, attend trade shows, seminars, training and educational events.
Must be able to be on-site on a regular basis for extended periods of time, subject to normal exposures to dust, heat, chemicals, and noise present in a manufacturing environment.
