EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors Degree

Masters Degree, a plus

Eight years related experience in a leadership role in a large organization

Experienced in making presentations to the Board of Trustees, large and small groups, and the public

High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education Agency.

PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY:

Responsible for effectively managing and supervising Facility Maintenance and Support, Construction Management and Engineering, Custodial Services, Food Services, Transportation and Police as determined by the Superintendent.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administers the functions of Facility Maintenance and Support, Construction Management and Engineering, Custodial Services, Food Services, Transportation and Police as required by the Superintendent and policies of the Board of Trustees.

Ensures District compliance with the Texas Public Information Act and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) by responding to all open records requests for the District.

Reviews the operation of each department for effectiveness in providing services to the schools and community.

Executes all documents required by the Superintendent in order to meet the needs of North East Independent School District.

Consults with all campus administrators to provide smooth operation of schools and provide solutions to problems as they relate to Facility Maintenance and Support, Construction Management and Engineering, Custodial Services, Food Services, Transportation and Police.

Directs Operations personnel in the function of their jobs and evaluates campus administrators with regard to their collaboration with Operations staff members.

Evaluates the performance of administrative staff supervised and the performance of their respective administrative functions.

Participates on the Superintendent's Executive Staff.

Participates with Superintendent and Executive Staff in the preparation of annual operating budget.

Plans and conducts District-wide group or committee meetings as needed.

Advises North East Independent School District patrons of District policies with relation to problems arising within Operations.

Maintains confidentiality of information.

Reports to work on time every day.

Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Strong communication, public relations and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to formulate ideas and communicate effectively

Demonstrated ability to plan effectively, organize, implement and evaluate plans

Demonstrated ability to implement policy and procedures

Demonstrated ability to interpret data

Demonstrated ability to manage budget and personnel

Demonstrated ability to write with clarity and precision

Ability to resolve conflict and respond to concerns in a timely manner

Valid Texas Drivers License with driving record that meets the requirements of the District
