We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Site Quality Leader

for our plant in Craiova, Romania, who will be managing the whole plant quality function and plant operational goal tree objectives in alignment with the corporate operating system and creating value by building an effective team, managing daily operations and leading initiatives that enable quality.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Manages and leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of subsets or all aspects of the plant quality system (product quality, process quality, supplier quality, customer quality).

Participates in the development and leads the quality function achievement of the Annual Operating Plan for the site.

Establishes and maintains quality assurance expectations, methods, and approaches for the site.

Determines quality project priorities and organizes resources to accomplish the work for the site.

Managing, guiding, coaching, and mentoring direct reports and coordination of technical teams on plant.

Monitors improvement teams to ensure that goals are achieved and reported such as Right First Time (RFT) improvements, cost of poor quality, Product Quality Council for the site.

Ensures that quality assessments and audits for the site are conducted in accordance with the Plant Quality System; leads post-event reviews to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.

Accountable for ensuring products and processes for the site meet initial and long-term quality standards, e.g., International Automotive Task Force (IATF), customer-specific requirements, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Product Parts Approval Process (PPAP) documentation submittal.

Manage Value Package Introduction Quality planning, prevention, and protection completion against manufacturing processes.

Champions continuous improvement initiatives in the plant (lean manufacturing, 7-step problem solving, Intelligent Quality Tools and Methods (IQTM), etc.).

Manages the six-sigma process at the plant (being the hooper facilitator, plant acting Master Black Belt (MBB), set and track certification progress, etc.).

Aligns quality management practices for the site with emerging and advanced technology-driven capabilities.

Acts as a change agent to identify value-creation opportunities for stakeholders by driving the strategy approach without losing focus on existing operational support and responsibilities.

Sets quality priorities and requirements when deploying new technologies at a site level.

Identifies and solves complex problems more efficiently by adopting new tools.

Identifies opportunities in product and process to reduce greenhouse emissions in support of company-wide initiatives.

About you:

You will ideally have quality management experience within an automotive or heavy machinery environment; however, if you enjoy and can evidence a high level of attention to detail, resiliency, and strong communication skills along with an interest in quality management and already had technical experience in product manufacturing or process manufacturing with leadership capabilities, we’d love to hear from you. Here are some of the other skills and competencies we’d like you to have:

BA degree in Quality Management or Engineering (industrial, mechanical, electrical, process fields of study) or relevant technical discipline.

MA and (or) MBA degree in the technical discipline or social discipline is a plus.

Extended professional experience in Quality Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Program Management, Product Manufacturing or Process manufacturing domains in the automotive industry or a similarly regulated industry.

Strong experience with quality management systems (ISO:9001, IATF:16949, other relevant industry standards).

Experience in IATF Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, etc.).

Additional certification in Lean Six Sigma.

Leadership skills: proven experience in guiding, coaching, and managing the team.

Fluency in English and Romanian, as these are our main business languages on site; knowledge of any other languages is a benefit.
