DESCRIPTION

The Director of New Business Development will be an independent contributor and develop new market opportunities. A strategic thinker with a proven track record of market penetration and growth who will be responsible for prospecting, lead generation and qualification.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage the overall outbound sales process.

Develop relationships with consultants, procurement departments and prospective clients.

Develop and implement strategies for expanding Mosaic’s client base.

Contribute to the FY25 revenue targets for the company and key performance indicators.

Understand competitive set and monitor activity, providing insights related to points of difference and methods to increase win rates.

Effectively communicate in both verbal and written communications and represent Mosaic on calls, presentations, and onsite at conferences.

Develop and maintain a prime prospect list in CRM system which includes qualified prospects from blue-chip clients across tech, telecommunications, package goods, lifestyle, and retail.

Ensure CRM data is accurate & updated on a weekly basis and provide monthly sales progress against KPIs.

Manage regular contact with companies on the prospect list while building relationships between agency and key prospects. Understand the business and marketing challenges of key prospects while providing direct marketing to new business prospects.

Develop/update new sales literature.

Leverage CRM, partners, online and offline channels, and agency search consultants to expand target client reach.

While focus for this position will be on outbound sales leads and conversion, the position could be called upon to work with and lead our integrated agency team/SME leads to develop a strategic and winning response to requests for proposals (RFPs/RFIs) that could come from an outbound or inbound lead. Experience in creating, leading and converting integrated campaign responses will be an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS

Key Attributes:

10+ years at a high growth agency selling to brands

Experience selling, working on and converting integrated marketing campaigns at large agencies or with large brands

Exceptional people skills

Strong writing and pitching skills

Highly organized and attentive to detail

A self-starter who’s not afraid to work both autonomously and with a handful of strong personalities across all departments

A Microsoft Office Wizard – specifically PowerPoint deck creation

Natural leader with an ability to inspire performance

Strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development.

Must be able to make presentations coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Open to travel for meetings, networking or conferences
