Tuesday - Saturday, 6:00am - 2:30pmPurpose Statement/Position Summary:

Operates, maintains, and repairs major operating systems of the utility plant, including steam boilers, centrifugal R 11 chillers, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, industrial air compressors, medical air compressors, vacuum pumps, water softeners, air dryers, and filtration systems, electric/electronic controls, pneumatic controls, instrumentation, emergency generators, piping, pressurized and unpressurized tanks, water testing and treatment, and building automation.Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

1+ year related experience as a Stationary Engineer. Ability to crawl inside boilers and equipment and lift tools. Demonstrates the ability to tolerate and function in a hot environment for prolonged periods of time. Has the ability to detect warning signals and equipment malfunctions, and to detect warning lights on alarms in a noisy environment.Education/Licensure/Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent. City of Los Angeles Unlimited Steam Engineers License.

Pay Scale Information

$58,240.00-$100,464.00CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
