Job Description SummaryIn this role, you will utilize experience and expertise to develop and execute EHS and PSM objectives for yourself, your team, and the site to drive success with business deliverables. The following are critical activities for this role:

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:

Develop a team of EHS / PSM professionals and serve on the site’s leadership team to direct and influence site EHS/PSM compliance and culture.

Lead a team of EHS and PSM professionals to develop and integrate EHS and PSM programs in a manufacturing facility with ongoing construction, start-up, and growth.

Lead and maintain EHS programs, procedures, practices, licenses, permits and site-specific EHS documentation, records and plans to assure compliance with all regulatory and business requirements.

Create and implement the site’s EHS / PSM strategy aligned with business and Value Stream expectations to achieve best-in-class performance through key performance indicators (KPI) for the site.

Partner with site leadership and Value Stream EHS team to manage site EHS and PSM compliance activities to drive a positive and proactive EHS and PSM culture.

Develop and implement site-specific Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and processes.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/ GED with at least 10 years of experience in EHS/PSM experience).

Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in a PSM covered manufacturing environment.

Desired Characteristics:

Compliance experience with federal and state Environmental Health and Safety regulations.

Broad appreciation and understanding of Chemical Operations.

Ability to effectively communicate, influence key stakeholders and drive change.

Proven ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

Demonstrated ability to develop key strategies and objectives for site and EHS professionals.

Demonstrated ability for coaching complex problem solving and root cause analysis.

Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), or related degrees from an accredited university or college.

Experience with: Emergency Preparedness, Fire Protection, Chemical Handling, Safety Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures, EHS Training, Ergonomics, Contractor Safety, Environmental programs (air, storm water, wastewater, waste), Crisis Management, Industrial Hygiene, Process Safety Management.
