Duties and Responsibilities Assistant Director of Content Production will assist Content Development Team with the development and execution of video, graphic design and social media content for the Loyola Athletics Department.
Help produce in-game video and graphics content that will be used to create an engaging fan experience to drive ticket sales, as well as leverage sponsorships.
Assist with design and execution of creative content, consistent with brand strategy with an aim to drive and enhance revenue through fan engagement, brand awareness, and sponsorship strategy.
Help monitor and analyze social media analytics to inform Loyola strategy and best practices.
Help coordinate any “pre” and “post” production of video and graphics projects including but not limited to scripting, audio recording, lighting, and posting to all digital/social media/website platforms.
Provide support on game-day as videoboard operator/director for Loyola Athletics events in Gentile Arena or as social media manager, as needed.
Assist in creation and delegation of social media content calendar.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Sports Management or related field required. One to three years experience working in new media platforms in a professional setting.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization. Preferred field of study – TV/Broadcast Production, Graphic Design, Media Studies, Marketing or related field.
Previous work experience in collegiate athletics, preferably with Division I Creative Services Team.
Previous work experience in a digital media, graphic design or production role for an athletic department, conference office, or sports team/brand.
Video production experience – preferred skill and knowledge in the operation of video cameras and filming techniques and skill in 3D video animation and editing using Adobe Creative Cloud and Final Cut Pro X software.
Graphic design experience – preferred knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite (Including but not limited to Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, Etc.).
Experience with creating social media content that enhances exposure and brand awareness.
Working knowledge of content posting as it relates to social media, YouTube, Vimeo, websites, and podcasts.
Effective oral, written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
